The ideal North American Miniature Australian Shepherd is the mirror image of the full-sized Australian Shepherd, only in a smaller, calmer package. Size ranges from 13" to up to 18" tall, measured at the top of the withers. It is compact and well balanced, very athletic and alert. It is in the Herding Group and is seen in the Breed and Obedience ring, Agility and herding events, as well as in the home as a supremely devoted companion pet.
